Software Support Technician

Wilkinson (http://www.wilkinson.com.au) is a fun, growing software development company in Hawthorn with a range of clients, from SME's to multi-nationals. We need a motivated individual to provide exceptional customer service and technical support.
The role will suit an individual with a technical background and experience and willingness to deal with clients in a helpdesk/support environment. Experience with the IBM iSeries environment and SQL will be an advantage.
Your responsibilities include:
* First level support for all clients and internal business units.
* Communicating directly with clients and managing client expectations.
* Testing of software where appropriate
* Remote support to clients in all time zones around the world.
To be successful in this role you will:
* Have at least 2 years experience in a Helpdesk/System Support environment
* Be well presented and have a professional manner
* Have sound understanding of networking (LAN/WAN) technology.
* Have experience in networking and working with different Windows operating systems
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Have advanced Microsoft Office skills
* Be able to work as part of a team
* Have an eye for detail
We are looking for a person who can grow within the company and learn all aspects of the business including possible exposure to development and pre-sales support. A willingness to get the job done and never let the client or the team down is essential.
