Electronic documents and IBS software
IBS software achieves significant efficiencies throughout the supply chain but the process of creating and distributing purchase orders, invoices and other supply chain documentation often remains an unsolved issue.
FormsMaster extends the document capabilities of IBS Enterprise, Bookmaster and Automotive to include sophisticated electronic forms features.
A Simple Process
The FormsMaster solution integrates seamlessly with your existing IT infrastructure; it requires no costly programming changes or upgrades.
Developed by Wilkinson, an IBS Business Partner, it supports all standard operating environments, including iSeries (OS/400, i5/OS), Windows, Unix and Linux. FormsMaster creates electronic documents in many formats including PDF, Excel, fax and email.
In addition to IBS software it supports all common ERP, financial and business applications.
Set-up is a simple, 3-stage process – FormsMaster can be fully operational within a few hours of installing the software.
1. Design the electronic form
- WYSIWYG form design
- Dynamic display of logos, signatures and bar codes.
- Both landscape and portrait format.
2. Map the data
By simply mapping the data from your existing spool file to the form variables, your fields are populated automatically within the electronic form.
3. Define the distribution rules
Print, fax, email, file and archive or any combination of these. Reporting of message transmissions and status results ensures that you retain control over all jobs.
FormsMaster Components
The modular FormsMaster suite consists of the FormsMaster Server and a choice of service modules – print, email, fax, file and archive – and other optional software add-ons. A basic installation includes FormsMaster Server and one service module e.g. Print module.
FormsMaster Server:
Data mapping and forms merge capability, distribution logic and forms engine. Multiple server configurations are available for high volume or distributed sites.
Print Module:
Prints to any Windows-based print device on the network, including laser, inkjet, barcode, thermal, dot matrix, till slip and other printers.
Fax Module:
Integrates with popular fax servers to fax documents automatically. The Fax Module provides attachments, personalized cover sheets and intelligent retransmissions after fax failures. Multiple fax lines and multiple servers are supported for enterprise faxing. SMTP faxing is also available.
Email Module:
Uses SMTP & MAPI email platforms. File attachments, status reporting, resend ability and dynamic subject & message content. Attach promotional PDF’s to your emails.
File Module:
Intelligent file and folder naming for storage as PDF or TXT format.
StoreMaster:
Automatically archives FormsMaster documents and offers browser-based retrieval with full text and indexed search capabilities. StoreMaster also archives most document formats, including MS Office and scanned images.
Excel Spreadsheet Builder:
Convert application output into true Excel files. Useful for financial reports, sales analyses and other management documents. Include charts & pivot tables too.
